Job Summary
A company is looking for an Insurance Specialist to manage financial and insurance information for patients remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify accuracy and completeness of financial, insurance, and demographic information for patient admissions and outpatient services
- Obtain and confirm insurance eligibility, benefits, and requirements, including referrals and authorizations
- Resolve issues related to insurance accounts, including determining primary insurance and coordination of benefits (COB)
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Two years of experience in healthcare insurance eligibility, verification, or billing in a medical setting
- Experience with insurance payor systems
- Preferred EPIC training/experience and knowledge of ICD-10 medical terminology
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products
