Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mainframe and Java Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the modernization effort by decoupling a large-scale legacy DB2 database and refactoring COBOL programs
• Transition data access patterns to new architectural components while maintaining business-critical functionality
• Collaborate with internal teams for onboarding and ongoing support in a new client environment

Required Qualifications

• Strong command of COBOL for reading, modifying, and testing programs
• Proficient in Java programming
• Experience with JCL for job execution and batch processing in mainframe environments
• Deep understanding of DB2 access methods, particularly on mainframes
• Familiarity with API specifications and data mapping
