Job Summary
A company is looking for a Buyer to support procurement operations in a dynamic contractual environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain materials, supplies, equipment, and services from suppliers at the lowest cost while ensuring quality and reliability
- Negotiate terms and prices with subcontractors and manage the order process from quotation to delivery
- Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve issues and communicate procurement requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 2+ years of experience in a Federal Government contracting environment
- Experience in an approved purchasing system (CPSR) environment
- Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel; experience with Costpoint is a plus
- Experience with category management is advantageous
