Electronic Data Interchange Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Electronic Data Interchange Specialist responsible for ensuring accurate billing and compliance of claims processed through Electronic Medical Records and Practice Management Software.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet production and quality standards for claims processing
• Follow up on complex insurance denials and unpaid balances
• Conduct audits for proper coding and stay updated on coding changes

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School diploma or GED required
• Preferred certifications include CPB, CPC, CPC-A, CCS, or CHONC
• Minimum of two years of experience in medical billing, coding, or insurance collections
• Understanding of insurance billing processes and claim form completion
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices (CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS)
