Principal Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to oversee the design and quality of micro-services within their financial operations team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and refactor Java/Spring Boot services for asset movement and scheduling workflows
• Champion test-driven development and architect cloud-native solutions on AWS
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop secure, performant APIs

Required Qualifications and Education

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience, including 2+ years in a principal or lead role
• Mastery of Java and Spring Boot, with hands-on experience in AWS services
• Strong proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure management
• Advanced Docker skills and knowledge of CI/CD processes
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
