State Licensed Employment Law VP

Job Summary

A company is looking for a VP of Employment and Litigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and counseling on multi-jurisdictional employment laws to HR and business stakeholders
• Manage employment litigation and oversee outside counsel, including responding to administrative agency charges and audits
• Develop and deliver training on employment law matters and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• JD from an accredited school with strong academic credentials
• Minimum 10 years of experience practicing employment law, in-house and/or with a national or regional law firm
• Experience as a litigator at a national or regional law firm preferred
• Active license to practice law in at least one state
• Significant experience in managing commercial litigation and providing practical legal advice
