Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Research claims and obtain additional insurance information through communication with patients, hospitals, and insurance companies
• Follow up on unpaid claims and maintain workflow to minimize aging accounts
• Document account activity and perform quality checks on assigned claims

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare claims processing, billing, or accounts receivable
• Hands-on experience with insurance appeals and understanding of remittance advices and denial codes
• Familiarity with ICD-10, HCPCS, and general medical terminology
• Proficiency with billing software and payer portals
