Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier to join our team at Story Lane Box. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing customer transactions, maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, and providing excellent customer service. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.

• Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions in accordance with company policies.

• Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.

• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including restocking and organizing merchandise as needed.

• Assist with opening and closing duties, including balancing cash drawers.

• Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment.

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred, but not required.

• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and transactions accurately.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with professionalism.

• Attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
