Animal Care Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Animal Care Technician I to support daily husbandry and sanitation operations within a vivarium.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain vivarium and support areas through cage cleaning, room sanitation, and equipment disinfection
• Perform daily husbandry tasks, including feeding, watering, and monitoring animals
• Assist in receiving and housing research animals, ensuring proper enclosure preparation

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma (required)
• Experience in animal care or a related field (vet assistant/tech, kennel, pet store, or lab setting preferred)
• Ability to consistently stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Dependable and punctual; willingness to work weekends and holidays as part of a rotating schedule
• Ability to comply with USDA, federal, and company animal care regulations
