Associate Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate Engineer to support the Consular Appointment Management Platform (CAMP) program at the U.S. Department of State.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, coding, and testing of CAMP features under the guidance of senior engineers
• Support integration of CAMP with other Department of State systems, focusing on reliability and compliance
• Write and maintain testable, accessible code that meets federal cybersecurity and Section 508 accessibility standards

Required Qualifications

• Public Trust Clearance or higher (ability to obtain and maintain required background investigation)
• 2+ years of related experience in software engineering, development, or systems integration preferred
• Basic knowledge of at least one modern programming language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, C#)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS preferred) or eagerness to learn
