ATO Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an ATO Specialist to lead the security authorization process for the VA Voicebot program.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide the program through all stages of the security authorization process, from planning to continuous monitoring
• Prepare and maintain essential security documentation, including POA&M, SSP, PIA, and SARs
• Advocate for security best practices, including Zero Trust Architecture, ensuring compliance with VA security policies

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Proven experience leading ATO processes for federal systems, preferably in the VA environment
• Strong knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and VA security policies
• Expertise in creating and maintaining federal security documentation (POA&M, SSP, PIA, SARs)
• Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture principles and implementation approaches
• Bachelor's degree
