About You

We’re seeking a results-focused, innovative, self-driven, and well-qualified individual to join our talented team as a Process Engineer intern. In this role, you will work with the Process Engineering and Production Groups to optimize processes related to the manufacturing and distribution of Dymax adhesives and oligomers. You will assist in the execution of continuous improvement projects involving changes to procedures, equipment, piping, and instrumentation. You will develop data and solutions related to projects assigned while assisting functional groups.

Additionally, you will:

  • Develop accurate standard work and provide data for optimization by performing time studies on batch making processes.
  • Collect and analyze data to determine critical variables affecting final product quality.  
  • Determine control methods to reduce variability in production to improve final product quality.
  • Develop new processes by assisting in lab scale process improvement activities.
  • Develop new equipment by assisting in testing and troubleshooting of new processing systems.

Projects participated in will require a presentation on results to a designated audience as they are completed.

You should:

  • Be a rising sophomore or higher working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field, or equivalent job-related work experience.
  • Self-motivation to work in concert with team members to meet deliverables on time.
  • Ability to work with chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols.
  • Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for the preservation of data.

Summer Internship

Dymax takes the compensation of its employees very seriously and considers several factors when determining the total compensation package including but not limited to location, market range, skills, knowledge, experience, and abilities. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Dymax salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range. The range listed is just one component of Dymax’s total compensation packages for employees.
