Back End Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Back End Engineer (Rails).

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain secure backend services for dynamic forms and submission workflows
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to modernize and scale VA.gov APIs
• Support CI/CD and DevOps efforts to ensure a reliable experience for users

Required Qualifications

• 2-5 years of backend engineering experience (Rails, Python, or similar)
• Experience in building RESTful APIs and service endpoints
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails development and backend business logic
• Understanding of security, logging, and compliance in federal environments
• Bachelor's Degree
