Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Backend Engineer focused on Seller Growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and scale systems for identity verification, fraud detection, and automated trust/risk reviews
• Ensure new sellers can sell successfully while maintaining buyer experience and preventing abuse
• Design reusable trust and reputation systems and collaborate with Data Science and Trust teams

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Experience building scalable systems, primarily using Python, Elixir, or JavaScript
• Ability to work across both backend and frontend
• Experience with SQL and data pipeline technologies
