Billing Follow Up Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Billing Follow Up Representative I to support billing processes and follow up with insurance carriers on claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Review accounts and apply billing follow up knowledge to ensure proper reimbursement from insurance payors
• Communicate with internal teams and external customers to validate and correct billing information
• Maintain accurate documentation of billing activities and comply with departmental KPI standards

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Typically requires 1 year of related experience in a medical/billing reimbursement environment
• Basic keyboarding proficiency and ability to operate relevant software systems
• Preferred knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
• Able to read and interpret documents such as explanation of benefits (EOB)
