Billing Follow Up Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Billing Follow Up Rep I to support billing processes and follow up with insurance carriers on open claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Review accounts and apply billing follow-up knowledge to ensure proper reimbursement from insurance payors
• Communicate with internal teams and external customers, acting as a liaison to validate and correct information
• Compile and maintain documentation of billing and follow-up efforts for each account

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
• Typically requires 1 year of related experience in a medical/billing reimbursement environment
• Basic keyboarding proficiency and ability to operate relevant software systems
• Preferred knowledge of medical terminology and coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as explanations of benefits (EOB)
