Responsibilities

  • Enter and update patient information in electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify the accuracy of data entered by cross-referencing with original documents and reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of data entry protocols and best practices.
  • Generate reports as needed to support departmental activities and decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
  • Provide administrative support as needed, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in data management or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk or in a similar administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and EHR software.
  • Excellent typing skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in a remote work environment.
