Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist I in Hospitalist Medicine.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine medical records to assign appropriate ICD and CPT codes
• Utilize coding tools to verify the accuracy of assigned codes
• Maintain coding accuracy and productivity rates while participating in ongoing education

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One or more required credentials prior to hire: CCS, CPC-A, RHIT, RHIA, or CCS-P
• Less than 24 months of experience in hospital medicine professional coding
• Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding guidelines and regulations
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively
