Certified Outpatient Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Certified Coding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed reviews of coded outpatient medical records for accuracy and compliance
• Assess documentation clarity and provide feedback to coders on improvement needs
• Prepare audit findings reports and deliver education to outpatient coding staff

Required Qualifications:

• CPC or CCS certification (AHIMA or AAPC required)
• 3+ years of outpatient coding experience in a U.S. hospital setting
• Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and outpatient reimbursement methodologies
• Familiarity with encoder software and EHR platforms
• Experience with coding audits or quality assurance preferred
