Certified Provider Education Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Provider Education Specialist who will review provider documentation and provide feedback for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews documentation by chart daily for Coding Production as assigned by the Director of Physician Education
• Provides weekly and monthly feedback to Documentation Specialist on documentation trends
• Performs ongoing analysis of medical record documentation and supports Senior Provider Education Specialists

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent required
• At least four (4) years of coding experience and two (2) years of auditing experience
• Degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, or related field preferred
