A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform concurrent and retrospective chart reviews to enhance clinical documentation completeness
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding trends and Medicare regulations
• Communicate with providers to clarify documentation requirements and ensure accuracy

Required Qualifications

• Medical Graduate (MD or MBBS) or Registered Nurse (RN) with active license and 5+ years of acute care experience
• 2+ years of experience as a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist in an acute care setting
• Intermediate proficiency in clinical medicine, pathophysiology, and pharmacology
• Intermediate proficiency using Electronic Medical Records and ICD-10 coding
• Ability to work during Arizona Time Zone equivalent business hours
