Cloud Database Administrator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Cloud Database Administrator to join a growing team in support of a government agency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and highly available database solutions using AWS, OCI, and GCP
• Administer and tune various databases while managing migrations from on-prem or other clouds
• Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and Ansible to optimize database performance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of experience, or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Proven experience as a DBA with expertise in Oracle and Postgres databases
• Experience with AWS database services, including Aurora, RDS, and Redshift
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages such as Python and Shell
• Solid experience in database failover, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning
