A company is looking for a Collection Counselor I.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage high volume inbound and outbound calls to and from delinquent borrowers
• Resolve delinquent accounts by collecting amounts due and establishing repayment plans
• Counsel borrowers on payment options and maintain documentation of collection activities

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of collection or customer service experience
• Solid PC skills, including Microsoft applications and loan servicing platforms
• Knowledge of federal regulations and collection laws (FDCPA)
• Ability to negotiate and explain financial matters effectively
