Commercial Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Commercial Underwriter I who will evaluate business from an underwriting perspective to grow the Commercial Auto business profitably.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform risk reviews and underwriting assessments for new business, renewals, and endorsements
• Make decisions on risk acceptability and serve as a point of contact for Customer Service and Backoffice teams
• Implement underwriting procedures and guidelines, while analyzing data to inform pricing and underwriting decisions

Required Qualifications

• Early career professional with a background in underwriting or related field
• Experience in evaluating risks and making underwriting decisions
• Ability to analyze internal and external data for business segments
• Familiarity with commercial auto insurance products
• Willingness to collaborate with Senior Underwriters and Underwriting Manager
