Connecticut Licensed Prior Authorization Pharmacist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Prior Authorization Pharmacist for Connecticut Medicaid (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Review prior authorization requests to ensure compliance with the Preferred Drug List and clinical guidelines
• Support peer-to-peer discussions with medical providers regarding prior authorization reviews
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to identify trends and new drugs requiring utilization management

Required Qualifications

• PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy with relevant specialty background
• Registered Pharmacist with unrestricted state licensure (Connecticut preferred)
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in clinical pharmacy
• Managed care and/or prior authorization experience is a plus
• Experience coordinating and collaborating with work teams preferred
