Controller for Retail and Restaurants

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Financial Controller focused on the retail and restaurant industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to restaurant and retail business presidents, providing tailored financial insights
• Lead full-cycle accounting operations, including month-end and year-end closes, and inventory oversight
• Identify and implement process improvements across accounting systems and streamline inventory management practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in a Controller or Senior Accounting role
• Proven experience in restaurant or retail accounting, preferably with multi-location operations
• Background in small to medium-sized businesses; fractional or outsourced accounting experience a plus
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, POS systems, and Excel
