Job Summary
A company is looking for a Copy Editor on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and proofread copy to ensure grammatical, syntax, formatting, and style accuracy
- Perform thorough reviews and comparisons of final copy to reduce in-market errors
- Verify accuracy of brands, products, logos, legal disclaimers, and ensure all marketing collateral is accurate
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in copy editing, proofreading, or related fields, preferably in marketing communications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; experience with Salesforce and Adobe is a plus
- Familiarity with AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, and proofreaders' marks
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with strong time management skills
