A company is looking for a Copy Editor (contract) to serve as a copyeditor and fact-checker for consumer publications covering business, markets, and tech.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure stories adhere to the company's style guide and tone
• Proofread text for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors
• Verify factual correctness of information and ensure logical structure of stories

Required Qualifications

• Ideally, two years of experience in copy editing and/or fact-checking at a news or media publication
• Experience working with reporters and editors, preferably in financial journalism
• Ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines
• Fluency with online publishing and organizational tools
