Credit Resolution Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Credit Resolution Specialist - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform refund and credit analyses for various payors and ensure appropriate actions are taken to resolve credit balances
• Conduct quarterly reviews for Medicare and Medicaid and manage desk inventory while documenting credit balance review activities
• Handle correspondence from payers and patients regarding refunds and communicate issues to management

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred
• 1 - 3 years' experience in a hospital business environment performing billing and/or follow-up functions preferred
• Entry-level understanding of hospital billing form requirements (UB04 and HCFA 1500)
• Entry-level knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS/CPT coding, and medical terminology
• Understanding of Managed Care contracts and government Medicare/Medicaid regulations preferred
