Job Summary
A company is looking for a Data Protection Analyst to support cybersecurity and compliance objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures, conduct risk assessments, and monitor compliance
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations while collaborating with data owners to protect sensitive data
- Implement Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls and support audits related to data governance and cybersecurity
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience in data governance, risk and compliance, cybersecurity, or information risk management
- Knowledge of information security standards (e.g., NIST 800, ISO 27001) and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)
- Experience with Microsoft Purview and Defender, and hands-on experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools
- Strong understanding of privacy and data protection principles
