Data Science Lead

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Science Lead (contingent) to support the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in improving services for Veterans and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve data strategy by defining metrics aligned with product goals and Veteran outcomes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate goals into measurable performance indicators and manage a team of Senior Data Scientists
• Engage with stakeholders to align on measurement priorities and create actionable data artifacts to support decision-making

Required Qualifications

• Experience in spearheading data strategy approaches and mixed-method data analysis
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Python/R/SQL) and visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau)
• Demonstrated commitment to social impact design and experience in the public sector
• Ability to manage multiple high-profile projects and deliver against client expectations
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure successful adoption of deliverables
