JOB PURPOSE

DEPT® is uniquely positioned as the broadest Google MarTech reseller, allowing us to resell Google Marketing Platform (GMP) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). To make sure we realize our commercial growth together with Google in the DACH region, we're looking for a new business developer that has that hunter mentality and is going to be responsible for our business development and lead generation. 

As our Business Developer you're part of the MarTech team and it is your responsibility to make sure we create the best sales opportunities and leads. You like to meet new people, are a networker at heart and understand how to utilize your connections, to convert leads into clients. We expect you to have already gained significant sales experience and have a strong interest in digital marketing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generating Google Marketing Platform (GMP) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) leads in the DACH market 
  • Co-presenting pitches about GMP & GCP 
  • Working closely with the extensive internal DEPT® network to increase our visibility and do cross-and upselling 
  • Contract negotiations
  • Hitting sales targets in terms of closed deals
  • Building relationships with existing customers for cross-and upsell opportunities
  • Visit industry events to represent the DEPT® brand and develop potential leads

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Have already gained at least 5 years of commercial experience and can tell a story about your best win
  • Extensive network in the DACH digital marketing industry
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills, are not afraid to present and you can network like the best (please demonstrate how you do that)
  • Self-starter that enjoys autonomy
  • Experience with selling cloud solutions, preferably GCP
  • Score bonus points if you have affinity or experience with search or programmatic advertising
  • Can switch from serious to play
  • Master the German and English language in word and writing (other languages are nice to have).
