Director of Data Architecture

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead of Data Architecture to oversee data platform initiatives on AWS with a focus on healthcare data and AI enablement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and implement an enterprise-wide data architecture strategy for interoperability and AI/ML readiness
• Design and maintain scalable data lakes and optimize storage and retrieval strategies
• Collaborate with data science teams to implement vectorization pipelines and manage vector storage systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
• 8-12+ years of experience in data architecture with 3-5 years in a leadership role
• Proven experience with AWS-based data lakes and healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7)
• Expertise in embedding models, semantic search, and vector storage solutions
• Strong background in data security and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, HITRUST)
