Director of Finance and Accounting

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Finance & Accounting to oversee its finance function, including accounting operations and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute all financial tasks and projects, including monthly close and board reporting
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, maintaining a robust general ledger and preparing financial analyses
• Own financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to deliver timely information to leadership

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred
• 8+ years of experience in accounting and FP&A, with ownership of monthly close and budget processes
• Thorough understanding of GAAP and internal controls, with experience in audits and tax coordination
• Strong financial modeling and scenario analysis skills
• Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and modern finance systems
