Executive Director of Hepatology

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Executive Director, Hepatology to lead a team in preclinical validation and research for liver diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide scientific leadership to progress preclinical and clinical portfolios for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) and alcohol-related liver disease (ALD)
• Lead the Hepatology Biology Team to foster innovation, accountability, and team development
• Establish and maintain external partnerships for advanced research capabilities and manage budget accountability for the hepatology portfolio

Required Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline with extensive experience in hepatology biology and pharmaceutical research
• 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry focused on hepatology therapeutics
• Experience in leading and managing teams and external collaborations
• Proven track record in managing a hepatology portfolio, including research contributions to product launches
• Strong knowledge of hepatology diseases and mechanisms
