FEMA CRC – Environmental and Historic Preservation Liaison

About the position

Responsibilities
• Conduct EHP reviews on PA grant applications for disaster recovery projects.
• Identify and resolve Special Considerations issues related to environmental and historic preservation laws.
• Maintain communication with EHP staff in the field to ensure EHP considerations are documented and communicated.
• Document and address EHP inquiries from CRC PA Staff.
• Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to address project-specific questions.
• Attend daily stand-up meetings and complete required reports.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Planning, Science, or a closely related field with 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience.
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain DHS Public Trust.
• Completion of specified security/privacy courses with certificates.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience providing excellent customer service.
• Strong observational, decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Earth.
• FEMA PA and/or CRC experience is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in environmental and/or historic preservation.
