Fiber Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Fiber Engineer to perform circuit design activities and manage network design assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design routes for fiber-based services and manage order fulfillment
• Research existing databases for network design and fiber optimization
• Provide support to field operations and assist in troubleshooting circuit provisioning problems

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of telecommunications and data networking experience, with three years in fiber design engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent education and experience
• Knowledge and experience with GIS-based platforms
• Computer skills including experience with spreadsheet and database programs
• Intermediate knowledge of data networking and telecommunications, including routing protocols
