Jr Accountant - US experience (Remote)

MezTal is a growing company connecting top Latin American talent with innovative companies in the United States. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our team in Guadalajara in a hybrid role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports and records.
• Ensure compliance with US accounting standards and internal policies.
• Assist in preparing documentation for audits or financial reviews.
• Collaborate with the US accounting team to support financial accuracy and timely reporting.
• Maintain organized financial files and perform other related administrative tasks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or in final stages of completion).

• At least 1 year of accounting experience with US-based companies (trainee or internship experience is valid).
• Basic understanding of US GAAP or willingness to learn.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English (B2+ level).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Montlhy Salary: gross monthly salary of 18,000 MXN.
