Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Internist to join a reputable nursing home facility located in Manhattan, NY. This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough medical evaluations and consultations
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and chronic diseases (e.g., diabetes, hypertension)
• Prescribe and manage medications, therapies, and other treatments
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients on wellness, prevention, diet, and hygiene
• Immunize against preventable diseases
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
• Refer patients to appropriate medical specialists when necessary
• Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare team to ensure quality care
• Provide long-term support and guidance for residents in skilled nursing facilities
• Contribute to clinical research or quality improvement initiatives if desired

Qualifications

• Licensure: Active New York State Medical License
• Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
