Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring a Sales Specialist to join our Consortium Book Sales & Distribution team in Minneapolis, MN. 

The Sales Specialist will develop a sales strategy for the trade channel by overseeing sales representatives and maintaining customer and client publisher relationships to facilitate growth.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem solving, time management and analytical skills, excellent communication and a passion for reading and working with books. In this role, you will collaborate with the Consortium sales, marketing and customer service teams in service to our award-winning client publishers. Responsibilities include organizing key sales meetings, attending regional conferences and working directly with assigned accounts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or year-for-year related experience
  • 2 years of experience in publishing or book-related position

Preferred Skills:

  • 1 year experience working with MS Excel, including using formulas, V lookups and pivot tables

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports field sales representatives with sales material and data, promotional offers, reporting, regular communication, and training.
  • Facilitates Field account sales operations and resolves issues.
  • Creates sales projections for Field, tracks sales, and reports quarterly results.
  • Manages seasonal Presales and Sales Conferences planning and execution.
  • Coordinates participation in regional shows and ABA conferences.
  • Educates client publishers on sales processes, updates training materials for publishers and coordinates onboarding new clients.
  • Provides administrative support to VP, Sales including sales reporting on a routine basis.

Hiring Salary Range: $57,155k - $71,232k. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to:  the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
