Regional Chief Operating Officer - Chicago Area

With C-Suite Advancement Pathway

Our client, a global leader in flexible workspace solutions, is recruiting an accomplished, results-driven Regional EVP to strengthen their executive team. This exceptional role presents a clearly defined advancement track to senior leadership, with opportunities to progress to Chief Operations Officer and ultimately Chief Executive Officer within a 2-3 year timeframe for exceptional candidates.

About Our Client
We represent a swiftly growing service organization managing hundreds of workspace facilities throughout North America. Though substantial in size, they maintain an entrepreneurial spirit with ambitious expansion plans including 600+ additional locations this year and 1,000-1,500 projected for the following year. Their environment is characterized by rapid 30-day sales cycles and a dynamic, sales-focused organizational culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to strategic growth initiatives
  • Work alongside current CEO in preparation for potential succession
  • Transition into oversight of regional operations spanning multiple states
  • Build and cultivate high-performance teams
  • Initially oversee Chicago market operations to gain comprehensive understanding of business model
  • Drive operational excellence and financial results across numerous locations
  • Essential Qualifications
    • Resilience and "thick skin" to excel in a direct, results-oriented environment
    • Sales-oriented mindset with capability to enhance revenue growth
    • Analytical capabilities with aptitude for swift, data-informed decision-making
    • Experience in high-growth, fast-paced settings
    • Hands-on leadership approach with willingness to "roll up sleeves"
    • Strong commercial acumen and demonstrated business leadership
    • Verified experience managing multiple business units or locations
    • Aspiration for C-suite/CEO position within 2-3 years
  • Preferred Experience
    • Background overseeing construction projects or new location launches a plus
    • Multi-site management proficiency (retail, hospitality, etc.)
    • Experience in service-focused industries
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Performance bonus target of 50%
  • Location: Chicago/Midwest preferred (relocation support available)
  • Base salary range: $300,000-$350,000
  • Long-term incentive structure with equity component
