Lead Database Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Database Engineer to manage and optimize database operations and lead migration projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the management of PostgreSQL databases, focusing on backups, security, and performance tuning
• Identify and resolve complex database performance issues and implement optimization techniques
• Oversee the development and optimization of shell scripts for ETL processes and manage data integration across systems

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's Degree preferred
• Advanced certifications in database management (e.g., PostgreSQL), Linux, or cloud services (AWS, Azure) are desirable
• Demonstrated experience in managing and optimizing PostgreSQL databases or exceptional skills in other DBMS
• Advanced skills in Linux environments and scripting for database operation automation
• In-depth knowledge and experience with cloud services, specifically AWS and Azure
