Job Summary

A company is looking for an Individual Life Underwriter III to manage complex individual life insurance cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex and high-risk life insurance cases with an approval authority of $1 million or more
• Provide expert evaluations and guide decisions for junior underwriters
• Mentor underwriters and support staff while communicating with various stakeholders about underwriting decisions

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• 10+ years of full-authority life underwriting experience, particularly with impaired risks
• Approval authority of at least $1 million with proven decision-making abilities
• Completion of key coursework: LOMA 280/281, 290, 311, 386, and ALU 101/201
• Experience working under pressure while ensuring compliance with standards
• Ability to work remotely with a high-speed internet connection
