Cloud Native Computing Foundation Overview

Cloud Native Computing Foundation is creating and driving the adoption of a new computing paradigm that is optimized for modern distributed systems environments capable of scaling to tens of thousands of healing multi-tenant nodes. Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Social Media Specialist with a strong analytical and creative skillset to join the marketing team. Proven track record of leveraging data-driven strategies to achieve measurable growth. Know your way around social platforms such as X and LinkedIn with proven experience implementing campaigns, increasing visibility, and driving engagement. This role is primarily dedicated to CNCF and reports to the head of marketing. 

  • Develop and execute social media strategies to grow awareness and engagement.

  • Manage and expand our presence on LinkedIn, X, BlueSky, and other relevant platforms by teaming with marketing functions to promote and develop high-quality, engaging content.

  • Own the social calendar, crafting posts, graphics, and campaigns that align with our brand voice and business goals.

  • Monitor industry trends and social conversations to position CNCF as a valued organization and thought leader in the open source space.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to amplify key announcements and initiatives.

  • Analyze social media metrics to track performance, identify insights, and refine content strategies.

  • Experiment with new formats and platforms to drive innovative and impactful storytelling.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in social media management and strategy across various platforms including X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and others.

  • Proven ability to grow and manage the social media presence of a technology company.

  • Experience with audience segmentation, persona building, SEO, and hashtag strategy. 

  • Strong writing skills with a knack for creating engaging, concise, and impactful content.

  • Experience tracking and interpreting social media analytics to optimize engagement and performance.

  • A highly creative and strategic mindset with an eye for detail.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), with social media tools (such as Hootsuite), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot).

  • Ability to travel (domestic and international)

Additional Information

Salary $85,000-$100,000 USD
