Mainframe Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mainframe Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop applications using mainframe technologies and support production activities
• Train junior staff and lead initiatives in application development and production support
• Interface with business lines and IT to drive value and implement process improvements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in mainframe technologies
• Hands-on experience with COBOL, DB2, JCL, and other mainframe tools
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related IT field
• Experience in relational databases such as Sybase, SQL Server, and Oracle
• Familiarity with mainframe integration and IT modernization efforts is a plus
