Mainframe IMS Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mainframe IMS Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and maintain IMS and related supporting software products
• Monitor and optimize IMS performance and troubleshoot transaction failures
• Collaborate with development, operations, and DBA teams to support business needs

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe environments with deep expertise in IMS
• Proficiency in COBOL, Assembler, and REXX programming within IMS environments
• Strong experience with IMS system and database administration and optimization
• Solid knowledge of z/OS Sysplex environments and subsystem connectivity
• Demonstrated experience with SMP/E or z/OSMF for software deployment and maintenance
