Math Tutor (Act 153 Certified)

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Tutor 3 to provide mathematical help to students via web-based text chats.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide mathematical tutorial help for middle school math through Algebra II/Geometry and/or Linear Algebra/Calculus
• Assist other tutors and monitor chats for inappropriate behavior
• Tutor students using differentiated approaches and complete mandatory quarterly training

Required Qualifications

• Recent graduate of a BS degree in mathematics or mathematics education program, or current student with 3+ years of tutoring experience
• Demonstrate math proficiency up to Algebra II/Geometry and/or Linear Algebra/Calculus
• Access to a computer and high-speed internet
• Minimum commitment of 12 hours per week for students or 8 hours per week for teachers
• Act 153 clearances required
