The person will prepare and characterize samples of nanocrystals of varying composition and ligand chemistry. They will prepare large area think films of these materials for grazing incidence time-resolved X-ray diffraction.

Core Responsibilities:

  • ​Characterize nanocrystals with UV-Vis, Tr-PL, and QY spectroscopy 
  • ​Prepare samples of nanocrystals of varying composition and ligand chemistry 
  • ​Prepare large area thin films of these materials for grazing incidence time-resolved X-ray diffraction. 

This work will take place on the fifth floor of Bicentennial Hall in chemistry labs or on computers.

  • ​Basic experience with X-ray Diffraction data analysis  
  • ​Basic experience with optical spectroscopy  
  • ​Academic coursework in undergraduate inorganic physical chemistry, and chemical data analysis
