A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist - Risk Adjustment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive reviews of patient charts to identify documentation gaps and coding improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with clinical staff to educate on accurate documentation for risk adjustment purposes
• Maintain records of chart reviews and coding opportunities while staying updated on coding guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or a related field
• Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) certification or related risk certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare coding, focusing on Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) coding
• Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM coding guidelines related to risk adjustment
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote role
