New York Licensed Senior Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly investor reporting requirements and quarterly/annual financial statements ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP
• Research and analyze complex accounting issues and draft technical accounting white papers
• Assist with external auditors during the audit process and maintain compliance with SOX requirements

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in financial reporting/technical accounting or auditing, preferably with public accounting experience
• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance-related field
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and experience with technical accounting issues
• Proven project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
